Rosemount Concrete – Residential

Concrete is perfect for driveways, patios, steps, fire pits, garage floors, and more in Rosemount. You can choose traditional grey concrete or jazz things with the addition of color, texture, and curves. Either way, choosing concrete for your home adds a touch of class you can take pride in! It is very difficult to tell the difference between decorative concrete and a mason laying stone or brick. Although they look similar, a mason laying stone or brick costs significantly more than concrete.

When you choose concrete for your driveway, patio, etc., you are making a wise investment! Did you know those concrete driveways last as long as 30 years and require minimal maintenance? Blacktop (asphalt), on the other hand, requires more maintenance and major repairs or replacement can be required within 10 years of installation!

History of Rosemount, Minnesota

The original settlers in Rosemount were the Lower Band Mdewakanton of the Santee Sioux tribe. However,  Chief Little Crow on August 5, 1851, leader of the New Ulm Indian uprising, signed a treaty that turned over the land to the federal government.  The first white settlers came in 1853, William and Walter Srathern and CH Carr, originally from Scotland by way of NY to stake a claim.  Soon after a lot of Irish immigrants, mostly Irish Catholics also settled.  On May 11, 1858, settlers decided to organize for the first township meeting.  The main topic that they discussed was the name of the town. Years before in 1855, the first post office was named Rosemount by Andrew Keegan and since there was a strong Irish influence and a village of the same name exists in Ireland., Rosemount was retained.
